Custom software development

Software that fits
how you work.

Custom applications for the tasks, people and systems that make your business work. We connect UX design and development around requirements that an off-the-shelf tool cannot cover.

OverviewWhat it can includeQuestions

Hand-drawn connected software panels and code brackets

your workflow, made clearer.

At a glance

When the workflow
needs its own solution.

Start with where the work gets difficult: disconnected tools, a task that needs a better interface, or a service that needs its own platform. We turn that context into clear user journeys and application requirements.

Workflows before featuresDefine the tasks, roles and information the application must support.

Connected design and codeShape the interface and application together, around the same requirements.

A focused starting scopeSeparate the first useful release from improvements that can follow.

Where it helps

A practical place
to start.

Internal applications

Give a team a tool built around its own operational tasks.

Customer platforms

Connect people with information, services or transactions in one application.

Connected systems

Build around existing data and services where integrations are practical.

What we consider together

Get the details
right.

What it can include

User journeys and interface concepts

Custom application development

Agreed integrations and release scope

User roles & workflows

Identify who uses the application, what each person needs to do and what information they should access.

Data & integrations

Map the information and systems involved, including access, dependencies and documentation.

Design & implementation

Turn the agreed journeys into an interface and application, with release requirements defined before development.

A useful starting point

Share the workflow you want to improve, the people involved and any existing systems or documentation.

Our custom development foundation

Next.js

NestJS

PostgreSQL

Vercel / Azure

Our usual custom stack combines Next.js, NestJS and PostgreSQL, with Vercel or Azure for hosting and deployment. We also work with Laravel and MySQL when the project calls for them. Architecture is agreed around your requirements and existing systems.

Experience in practice

Built around the
details that matter.

01

Multilingual applications

Plan language-specific journeys, localised URLs and technical SEO together. For GutUp, we delivered English and French localisation with Branchlate.

02

Maps with a clear purpose

Google Maps API work includes route planning for Busit, location search and nearby results for GutUp, and location-based reporting for Estates.lk.

03

Connected services

Connect the product to the systems it needs. Our experience includes PayHere payments for Busit and Strapi fitness-content management for the NERVA health app.

Useful answers

A little clarity.

Who owns the work after handover?

Code is usually owned by the client and managed by NoLoopTech, subject to the project agreement. Source access, hosting accounts, documentation, editing guidance and third-party licences are clarified before development.

What testing is included?

Manual QA covers the devices and journeys agreed in scope. Automated unit testing can be included where the budget and timeline allow. Browser coverage and any performance, accessibility or security reviews are agreed explicitly.

Can you build around our existing systems?

We review the systems, available access and integration documentation first. That establishes what can connect and which constraints the application needs to respect.

Do we need custom software?

If an existing tool fits the workflow, it may be the better starting point. Custom development is useful when the requirements or experience need something more specific.

What technology do you use?

Our standard stack is Next.js, NestJS and PostgreSQL, hosted on Vercel or Azure as appropriate. Laravel and MySQL are also part of our experience. We explain the proposed architecture before development.
